Vallblanca

VINEYARD

To produce this wine, we used the relatively unknown grape varietal, Verdil. Indigenous to eastern portion of Spain, and more specifically, to DO Valencia in the subzone of “Clariano”.  The vines were planted at the top of the vineyard in the “Corral del Galtero” estate, situated in the heart of the Albaida Valley just south of Valencia at 600 meters above sea level in calcerous soils. The vines are trained in a trellis system, facing west, whereby allowing for perfect amount of both sun and ventilation.

WINEMAKING

With meticulous care, the harvest occurred on the second fortnight of August. Using modern technology and strict temperature controlled conditions, our intention was to preserve every ounce of flavor and aroma we possibly could.

WINE PROFILE

With our gentle elaboration techniques, we’ve obtained a very fresh and vibrant gold colored wine veiled in a vibrant herbal green, that displays amble white fruit aromas married with elegant notes of apricot and white pear. Together, these seamlessly intermix with a light floral aroma to perfectly express our native Verdil grape. In the mouth, the wine is well structured with great acidity, which gives the wine both freshness and balance. Layered floral notes linger on the tongue, and slowly dissipate into a fresh white fruit finish.
